Die DJS setzten sich seit längerer Zeit mit der Situation in der Türkei auseinander. DJS-Mitglieder nehmen immer wieder an Prozessbeobachtungen in der Türkei teil, so auch wieder Mitte November. Den neuesten Bericht der Beobachtung des KCK-Prozesses vom Montag, 14.11.2016 findet ihr hier.
Zudem wurden am letzten Montag erneut Kolleg_innen unserer Schwesternorganisation CHD verhaftet, nachdem deren Büro in der Woche zuvor geschlossen wurde.

Statement of concern on events in Turkey
In view of numerous reports and complaints received by the JIWP association regarding dismissal and detention of judges and law officers in Turkey as well as numerous complaints on other serious violations of political freedom and human rights the JIWP association expresses its deep concern over these events and calls upon its members to bring the concern to the attention of relevant authorities in their home countries with a view that the authorities will convey a message of concern to the Government of Turkey to respect judicial independence and human rights .
